Mental wellness encompasses more than the absence of mental illness – it takes in all areas of a person’s life.  Mental wellness is the presence of factors that promote and maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance.

Please remember you can speak to your doctor or nurse practitioner at any time. Mental health is just as important as your physical health. A family doctor or nurse practitioner is often a good place to start if you are unsure about options or who to talk to for help. They can help you find professional help. With a little preparation, you can get the most out of your visit. For more help with this preparation, check out this article on the Mayo Clinic Website.
